It took a lot of work, heart, and international collaboration to get Keystone Bagels up and running, but it was worth every bit of it to get to where the company is today. Proudly operated by Laura and James Drury, originally from the UK, Keystone Bagels is now a cornerstone business in eastern Pennsylvania, and ready to expand.

You won’t find frozen or premade bagels in this shop. The Drury family was certain about many things, and one was that every bagel is made fresh, on-site – and in sight! Large viewing windows allow their customers to watch the bagels being made from scratch. The look and feel of the shop is warm and welcoming, where people feel comfortable hanging out with their neighbors.

“We treat our team and our customers like family,” Laura said. “We are a family.” And now they are adding new members of the Keystone Bagels family via their franchising program. “It seemed like the natural next step,” Laura said about franchising the business. Busy with their flagship location, community, and family demands, franchising the business was the best way to take their one-of-a-kind bagels on the road, while bringing a great opportunity to other motivated business people.

Initial expansion is planned for the Eastern U.S., and the team is seeking financially qualified business builders with a sincere enthusiasm for the brand. Franchise owners should be community-minded and ready to give back to their local areas. Food or restaurant experience is not required. And, there will be incentives for veterans – as both Laura and James are veterans of the British Army.
